Live Editor
Product
Plan

Make live changes to pages on your website directly from Conductor. After implementation, Conductor's Live Editor lets you overwrite tags on your pages directly from Conductor without needing to access to your site's content management system. Enter a URL on the Live Editor screen (or access a page in Page Details and click to launch Live Editor) and optimize an on-page element. Then, review past updates to see whether they have made an impact on the page's performance.
Availability Details
By default, users do not have access to Conductor's Live Editor feature. Initially, your account will have a single user that can determine the level of access other users have to the feature. Unlike other user access settings in Conductor, Live Editor's access is determined on a user-by-user basis for each web property you integrate—completely separate from the permissions associated with Conductor user types.
To learn more about setting user permissions for Live Editor, review the Set User Permissions for Live Editor section of the Configure Live Editor article.
After purchasing Live Editor for one or more domains or subdomains, you must implement it for each. To do so, refer to the Configure Conductor's Live Editor article.
Overview
Configure Live Editor
Before you start using Live Editor, you'll need to configure the feature. Refer to the Configure Conductor's Live Editor article.
Find and Filter Your Pages with Issues
By default, when you access Live Editor from the Live menu, you will see the Pages tab. Here, for a given web property, you can review each page to which you can make Live Editor changes.
From this table, for each page with Live Editor changes you can:
- Filter to see which pages have active changes or have no changes.
- Filter to see which pages Conductor has detected certain types of issues.
- Jump to the relevant Page Details report. Just click the page's URL.
- Use the three-dot menu to research the page with Research or open the page in a new browser tab.
- Open the Live Editor form to review or make more changes.
For each page, you can also see the user who made the most recent Live Editor changes in the Changed by column and see when the most recent Live Editor changes were published in the Publish Date column.
